Paulo Cunha da Silva

Paulo has a BSc in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences and a MSc in Neuroscience from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon. His MSc research in neuropharmacology focused on the analgesic/antinociceptive potential of Oxytocin and was developed at King’s College London (KCL). After the MSc, he worked for a year as a research assistant at KCL, setting up a study with target improving the lives of Parkinson’s disease patients with psychosis. Paulo started his PhD in April 2019, working on body image and body modification concerns. Paulo is jointly supervised by A/Prof Paul Jenkinson (lead supervisor; University of Hertfordshire) and Prof. Katerina Fotopoulou (UCL / KatLab).
